My Room partners with AUSGP for second year

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is proud to announce My Room as the Official Charity Partner of the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020.

The Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020, 12-15 March, marks the second consecutive year My Room has been involved as the Official Charity of the event.

My Room is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to raising funds to achieve a 100% cure rate for all childhood cancers.

My Room CEO, Margaret Zita, said: “It is with immense pride and determination that My Room continues to be the charity partner of the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020.

“Too many families find themselves stranded on the side of the track, and too many children are deprived of taking on life’s challenges at full speed, due to the monster that is childhood cancer.

“It is our hope at My Room that this continued partnership will help us towards our goal of a 100% cure for childhood cancer.”

AGPC CEO, Andrew Westacott, said: “We are delighted to continue our support and work alongside My Room for a second consecutive year. It’s a great opportunity to help drive awareness of such an important cause on a global scale."

Across the four days of the Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2020, My Room volunteers will be collecting donations and will host a marquee where they will be educating and raising the awareness of childhood cancer with fans and aiming to raise much needed funds.

All funds raised at the event will go towards funding clinical research that will lead to better treatment outcomes and most importantly that much needed cure.
